DING 2013: “Possibly Vincent Thomas Sternberg, a son of the Thomas Sternberg (1794-1858), born in Northampton, who was a wine merchant, musical instrument seller and piano tuner. He also taught music. Vincent Thomas Sternberg became a librarian of the Leeds Library and frequently contributed to Notes and Queries. (See Miller 2012 and Miller fc. Personal communication).  The Dialect and Folklore of Northamptonshire is the first book with the word folklore in its title.”
