DING 2014: “Born in London, he attended Winchester College and at then went to Oxford. He later studied medicine at Padua, Montpellier and Leiden. He moved to Norwich in 1637 where he remained until his death. His comments about Norfolk vocabulary were published posthumously, edited by Thomas Tenison (1636-1715), Archbishop of Canterbury.”
