CORNWALL
DING 2022: ""Born at St. Stephen-in Brannel, Cor. He was a methodist minister in different churches through the country until his retirement, for health reasons, in 1909. He was a prolific novel writer and Cornwall and the Cornish dialect appear in many of them. However, Wright used only one of them as a source for EDD."”
Leclaire(1954: 192: "Born at St. Stephen's Cornwall. Educated at Victoria University, Manchester. Was a land surveyor before becoming a Non-Conformist Minister. Travelled extensively. He died at St. Ives, Cornwall. Cornwall gave him settings and characters for many of his novels,—perhaps because he left it about 1885, and remembered the land he called "the Mecca of folklore and superstitions". (Preface to Roger Trewinion).
